Is anyone else reading this blog....??

Hey Tony,

Do you think anyone else is reading our stuff? If there's anyone out there reading this, let me know! Otherwise we could just as well do it on the other site, Tony? And maybe discuss some general topics here and post some audio once in a while...But... if other people think this is usefull, let us know!!

What do you think Tony?

i bet a few are reading it. i think stuff like this takes time to build. most people are to chicken to post. i don't get it.

however go to http://www.sitemeter.com/ and sign up. then post the code on this blog. it will email you and you can click on the icon for stats. then you can see who's checking this out.

i think it's a cool way. i never ever believed in being secretive about all this stuff. i mean you have to protect some stuff or just be smart. but all in all, it's about giving and sharing of ideas that makes all this work.

lots of pro vibe players are more on the secretive side. i never got that, like what anybody is playing now adays is proprietary to them?

that's pretty rare. i'm did sharing.

Hi Tjaco,

I'm reading your blog. My name is Curtis Mathewson, a percussionist from Vancouver, Canada-- and I'm starting to get back into playing the vibes.

I find your blog useful to compare how I use my practice time with other vibist's. It's helping me get ideas for what I should be working. Maybe one of these days I'll start up my own practice blog.

Thanks for posting, and good luck with your upcoming gig.

Hi Curtis,

Thanks for leaving a comment. I was starting to think that no one else was reading this. If you want to comment on anything we posted here, feel free to do so! Good luck with the vibes playing and maybe we'll see you around here.

hi, yeah, I'm definitely starting to check it out! I've been in a remote part of Idaho all summer doing forest research, but now back in the city and getting back into my vibes, after a four-year hiatus....

It's great to see your experience and hear your thoughts. I don't have the opportunity to play with others very much, so my practicing requires a lot of self-motivation, and sharing your experiences and music really helps (also Tony, thanks for posting the Jimmy Bruno institute video!) I realize this must take time to post, and I'll keep checking and perhaps even offer some thoughts and stories and tunes.

All best to you, and I'll stay in touch---
